2nd Hands-on meeting, DKFZ Heidelberg, Germany, January 26-27, 2006
The
main purpose of this meeting is to make decisions on various
fundamental definitions, which will constitute as foundations for
future developments of the EUROCarbDB central database as well as the
network. The different topics have been intensively discussed in the
forum. There are areas, where more than one proposal exists. It is the
mission of the assigned coordinators to summarise and evaluate the
discussions and to provide a summary with a suggestion for adoption
which definitions / schemata shall be adopted for EUROCarbDB.
Ideally,
these proposals should be available before the meeting and made
available through the forum. To speed up the discussions, the
coordinators should provide drafts of tasks lists. The coordinators
will write minutes of the decisions made.
As a guest speaker, Phil
Toukach from the N.D. Zelinsky Institute Moscow, will give us an
overview of the current status of the Bacterial Carbohydrate Structure
Database he is managing.
